Keep it down kids!!!

I'm starting to miss lyrics. Am I getting that old that I really want to know what the hell everyone is singing?? Only I can't understand the lyrics of songs over the accompaniment....someone get me my walker...lol

So I thought I would start by periodically posting some of my favorite lyrics of all time. Simple, clear, clean songs that can make you smile or shed a tear. My first installment is What’ll I Do ~ by Irving Berlin. It's been on my mind lately because during the Bea Arthur Golden Girls Marathon this weekend they showed the episode in which Dorothy sings this lovely tune. So revisit some of your old favorites and enjoy the memories they are fantastic and in TECHNO-COLOR!

What’ll I Do ~ by Irving Berlin

What'll I do when you
Are far away
And I'm so blue,
What'll I do?

What'll I do when I
Am wondering who
Is kissing you,
What'll I do?

What'll I do with just
A photograph
To tell my troubles to?

When I'm alone
With only dreams of you
That won't come true,
What'll I do?

~interlude~

When I'm alone
With only dreams of you
That won't come true,
What'll I do?

(sniffle, sniffle...)

I'm a delicate little flower...

And so is the orchid my boss gave me for administrative assistants week. (do we really need a whole week???)

I'm gonna try and keep it alive as long as I can unfortunately my southern upbringing made me a great cook but a lousy horticulturists.
